No.33 GREEN GIMLET
If you like margaritas then you’ll love this fresh, complex and tart take on a gimlet. It has all the beautiful green flavours, with lime, fresh herbs and jalapeño.
Combine in a cocktail shaker:
• 1 1/2 oz Laneway No.33 Gin
• 1 oz fresh lime juice
• 1 oz agave syrup
• Fresh cilantro sprig
• Fresh mint sprig
• 1 slice of fresh jalapeño pepper
• Pinch of salt (Maldon Salt is our preferred)
• 1 cup of ice
Shake for one minute and double strain into ice-filled lowball glass. Garnish with a slice of fresh jalapeño pepper.
GRAPEFRUIT VARIATION
This drink is also fantastic with a combination of lime & grapefruit juice. Use 1/2 oz fresh lime juice and 1 1/2 oz fresh grapefruit juice, reducing the agave to 3/4 oz.

MAKE AHEAD BATCH VERSION
When making large batches of this cocktail for an event, we use our whipping cream siphon to infuse the fresh herb flavours into the gin. Then, just mix together the infused gin with the rest the ingredients in a large container, adding 1/2 of water per cocktail to replace the melted ice that you would get from shaking. Divide your cocktail into 750mL bottles with a lid and store in the fridge – your empty Laneway bottles are perfect for this!
Rapid infusion with a siphon is an advanced technique, but there is lots of great reference online. We recommend doubling the herbs and jalapeño, and using a total infusion time of 90-120 seconds. Best made earlier in the day you intend to serve it for maximum flavour.
