Lady Marmalade

Nothing says brunch like the beautiful jamminess of a good marmalade. Preserves make a handy cocktail ingredient, adding a concentrated hit of fruit flavour outside our (too short!) growing season. We used a tangy orange marmalade, but feel free to experiment with whatever preserves you have on hand.

Combine in a shaker with ice:

  • 40mL Laneway No.11 Gin
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of orange marmalade
  • 25mL fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Strain into a glass over ice and top with tonic water. The fresh juice is optional, but will help amp up the citrus flavour of the marmalade. If you are using a different type of preserve, pick a juice that will pair well with it.
