This nuanced gin sour has aromatic forest notes with vibrant sweet, tart, fresh and sour flavours.
Add to a shaker with ice:
- 1 oz Ever Gin Liqueur
- 1 oz Lillet Blanc
- 1 oz apple simple syrup*
- 1 tbsp fresh-squeezed lemon juice (10-15mL)
Shake with ice and strain into a small chilled cocktail coupe.
*Apple Simple Syrup
- 2 unpeeled apples, cored & chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 star anise
Combine in saucepan and simmer on low boil for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning but do not crush apples. Strain into glass jar. Do not press apples or syrup will become cloudy. Store in fridge. Makes enough for about 10 cocktails.
